Toast's Hollywood Debut

Let the record show: Emma ordered it as a joke.

Her sister Monique had been talking about her golden retriever, Toast, as though he were a person for approximately four years. Toast had his own Instagram. Toast had opinions about weather. Toast, according to Monique, was a presence.

So for Monique's birthday, Emma decided to lean in.

She found Printale while looking for something that would make her sister laugh — really laugh, not just politely smile. A custom movie poster for a dog seemed like exactly the right level of ridiculous.

She filled in the details with commitment. Toast starred as the lead. The genre was Action-Adventure. The tagline read: "He fetched. He conquered. He napped." The cast list included Monique as "Devoted Co-Star" and the family cat, Biscuit, as "The Villain."

She did not expect the result to look this good.

When the proof came back, Emma genuinely paused. It looked like a real film poster — cinematic, beautifully designed, somehow deeply Toast. She'd wanted funny. She got funny and stunning.

Monique opened it at her birthday dinner, in front of their whole family.

She laughed for about thirty seconds. Then she went quiet. Then she said, "This is actually the most beautiful thing anyone has ever given me."

Toast looked up from under the table, unbothered.

The poster now hangs in Monique's living room, framed. Toast walks past it every day and does not acknowledge it.

He's very professional like that.
